Testament Travelers (1st-6th Grade)
Testament Travelers
(1st – 6th Grade)
Testament Travelers is our Sunday morning program for elementary school age children who attend the 9:25 or 11:00 services. This program is based on the Workshop Rotation model in which the children rotate through a series of workshops each using a different format such as drama, cooking, storytelling and science to teach the Bible story. We believe that children learn in different ways and benefit from being exposed to Bible stories presented in a variety of formats. Bible stories are taught in three or four-week rotations and children travel with other children in their grade level to a different workshop each week.
The children attend the worship service with their parents for the first 10 or 15 minutes of the worship service. Following Time for Young Christians (a time in the service when a short message is given to the children) the children are dismissed to the patio, where they are greeted by adult volunteers. These volunteers, called Shepherds, are assigned to a specific grade and take the children to the workshop location for the day. Weekly workshop locations are listed in the workshop bulletin each week and a map located on the second floor of the Children’s Pavilion. All children will be held in the classroom until a parent comes to pick them up. Please pick up your child promptly after the worship service has ended. This is important, as the shepherds and workshop leaders need to pick up their own children or go to be with their families.

Attendance
Please consider the positive results of consistent and regular attendance at your chosen hour so that your child can benefit from getting to know the other children and the teachers. Each of the lessons compliment each other, we don’t want your child to miss any part of them.
Pick Up
All children will be held in the classroom until a parent comes to pick them up. Please pick up your child promptly after the worship service has ended. This is important, as the shepherds and workshop leaders need to pick up their own children or go to be with their families.
