Vacation Bible School 2010

• July 12-16: 9 AM – 12:15 PM
• (9 AM – noon for pre-K & K)

What & Where:

Exciting plans are underway for a week of VBS this summer. Come join the great gathering under the gigantic African baobab tree– a traditional eating spot for animals and a meeting site for people. And this summer, it’s where kids will engage God’s Word, experience His creation, and explore the connections between God, family, friends and the world. Join in a week of high-action games, awesome music, wacky skits, Bible stories and cool crafts! It’s guaranteed to be a BLAST!  Daily lessons reinforce God’s unconditional love and finding joy in community – and build a bridge from the Bible stories to everyday life.

Who & How:

The preschool program is for children 4 years old (by 12/1/10) through those entering Kindergarten. Children who are entering 1st-5th grade in the fall are eligible for the elementary program.  Elementary kids will go full circle around the village, moving from Kalahari Crafts to Serengeti Science, Madagascar Music, Savannah Storytelling, and Grassland Games.  The cost is $40 per child which includes a T-shirt and a music CD.

Volunteers:

Do you want to make sure this great program happens? Then partner with Children’s Ministry. Here’s how you can get involved.  We need adults who are willing to be preschool teachers, craft leaders, game leaders, drama team members, snack coordinators and family group leaders. We also need some behind the scenes help in prepping for the activities and crafts. If you are interested in helping with VBS, please contact Heather Ehrhart at hnehrhart@hotmail.com or stop by the registration table on March 21st to find out more about how you can help.

Registration:

Registration for LCPC regular attenders only will be on the patio on Sunday, March 21 beginning at 9 AM. After March 21, anyone can sign up beginning at 9 AM Monday in the main church office. Please note that you will only be able to sign up your own children, you cannot register for friends and you must register in person. You are also required to turn in an LCPC permission slip at the time of registration. Permission slips can be downloaded by clicking here.
