The LCPC Tech & Media ministry gives volunteers the opportunity to provide sound, lighting, or video support for our worship services. The Tech ministry strives to provide excellent audio/visual reinforcement that aids, but does not distract, the congregation from the message of the worship as conveyed by the pastors, musicians, speakers and actors who lead worship. LCPC has moved forward with the technology and makes use of Yamaha digital sound mixers, ETC lighting consoles, Mediashout 4, and other cutting edge A/V equipment to create an effective but easy to learn system. Under the direction of our Technical Manager, Jason Stephenson, we have expanded this ministry into three different teams.
Sound
Our Sound Team is involved in setting up and running sound for the each worship service. Anyone interested in live sound or recording should consider becoming involved in this ministry. It requires a once a month commitment and gives you the opportunity to learn and grow technically while assisting in a very important aspect of worship.
Lighting
Our Lighting Team assists in operating the lighting board for the contemporary (3rd) service on Sunday as well as designing and programming new lighting presets as needed. With the use of lights we attempt to create a colorful and exciting experience to enhance the worship experience. Anyone interested in lighting design or technology should consider joining the lighting team.
Media
Our Media Team is responsible for operating a computer that displays the song lyrics, video, and other media on the screen(s) in the worship services, primarily in the 3rd service. Anyone with basic computer knowledge on a PC or Mac should consider assisting on the media team. It is a once a month commitment and gives you the opportunity to help out in a very important area of the worship service.
